A review of BarBacon in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen
It was only a matter of time before the recent bacon craze spawned a bar with a bacon theme! So, here comes BarBacon in Hell’s Kitchen, located at 836 Ninth Avenue (between 54th and 55th Streets). BarBacon caters to the after-work and neighborhood (and, hopefully, Bacon-loving) crowds. A square-shaped bar takes up half the space. Regular tables and high-top tables round out the rest of the space. Not too much standing room. Beer selection is decent; ten quality taps, 15 quality bottles. As for the food, six types of regional US bacon (incl lamb and turkey bacon) are offered; all other food options, mostly BBQ and comfort food, feature bacon in one way or another. BarBacon is a spot for the developing Bacon NYC bar crawl!
