Bars we look forward to visiting in Astoria, Queens

There are always numerous NYC bars on our to-visit list.  Two spots in Astoria we hope to visit sooner rather than later are The Wolfhound and The Highwater.  The Wolfhound, located at 38-14 30^th Avenue (near Steinway Street), bill itself as a modern neighborhood Irish bar featuring a rotating draught beers as well as fine whiskeys and scotches.  Located just a few blocks to the south and west is The Highwater, located at 34-20 Broadway.  We gather that The Highwater is a tropical bar and grill spot.  We hope it’s a great addition to any Astoria Broadway NYC pub crawl.  After we’ve had a chance to visit these two spots, we will post brief reviews of both right here.
