Located at 14 Avenue C in Manhattan’s Alphabet City, Sanatorium is a hospital-themed cocktail-focused bar\/lounge.\u00a0 The layout includes a standing room only bar on the left side of the space, with the majority of the space taken up by low-level lounge-style seating. Cocktails are all the rage right now and, at $15\/drink, Sanatorium’s cocktail price is somewhat mid-range for Manhattan.\u00a0 In addition, staff was friendly, but we wonder how long a place like this will last in its current location on Avenue C.\u00a0 Stop in here on your next Avenue C NYC bar crawl.\u00a0 Note that Sanatorium has a rather late opening hour.\u00a0 On the day of our visit, the spot opened for business at 8pm.<\/p>\n
