{"id":4020,"date":"2018-03-05T07:00:23","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T12:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pubcrawlnyc.com\/blog\/?p=4020"},"modified":"2018-03-04T09:01:13","modified_gmt":"2018-03-04T14:01:13","slug":"4020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pubcrawlnyc.com\/blog\/2018\/03\/05\/4020\/","title":{"rendered":"The closure of Paulaner&#8217;s brewpub in Manhattan&#8217;s Lower East Side"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bowery Boogie recently reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boweryboogie.com\/2018\/02\/paulaner-goes-flat-closes-bowery-brewery-4-years\/\" target=\"_blank\">the closure of Paulaner\u2019s Lower East Side brewpub location<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boweryboogie.com\/2018\/02\/paulaner-goes-flat-closes-bowery-brewery-4-years\/\" target=\"_blank\">.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Our thoughts:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During its four years in business, we\u2019ve visited Paulaner on several NYC pub crawls.\u00a0 We enjoyed our time at Paulaner and are sad to see it go.\u00a0 The beer was great, the staff was friendly and the food was solid.\u00a0 We echo Bowery Boogie\u2019s sentiments that perhaps Paulaner\u2019s physical location on the Bowery may have not been the best.\u00a0 We realize it\u2019s difficult to find the exact right location for a bar\/brewery of its size anywhere in Manhattan.\u00a0 The LES location on Bowery was likely more affordable rent-wise than a spot further uptown.\u00a0 Perhaps Paulaner can find another spot in Manhattan or elsewhere in the five boroughs.\u00a0 Paulaner will be missed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bowery Boogie recently reported the closure of Paulaner\u2019s Lower East Side brewpub location.
